SHAH ALAM - Karangkraf Media Group (Karangkraf) takes the importance of education seriously as it strives to educate the community.
Sinar Karangkraf chief executive officer Farah Hussamuddin said one of the initiatives the group has undertaken is to cooperate with the Selangor State Education Department (JPNS) in organising the largest education carnival in Selangor.
"Sinar Bestari Education Carnival is organised to raise public awareness about the current education system that is increasingly moving towards digitization.
"It coincides with the generation today as well as the country's preparation towards Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0)," she said.
The Sinar Bestari Education Carnival will be held for the first time for three days, starting from May 10 to 12, at Karangkraf, here.
Additionally, Farah said the carnival will also serve as a learning hub outside the classroom as there will be various exhibitions on the evolution of digital skills and careers in the education field in the future.
She added that students can gain new perspectives by learning outside the classroom, especially in mastering digital education in the 21st century.
"Moreover, the government and private agencies are involved in preparing for the exhibition at this carnival to deliver various useful information to the visitors.
"Among the interesting activities are Karangkraf book sales, young writers' workshops, TV PSS auditions, Dikir Barat mega performances, mini zoos, basketball clinics, and mega sales," she said.
Farah said various competitions held at the carnival will also add colour to the carnival, such as public speaking, Malaysian dance, dikir barat, e-sports, choir, Sinar Bestari Got Talent, parade, and many more.
"The carnival will be held on a large scale as a step to expand the Sinar Harian education newspaper, which is Sinar Bestari, published every Monday.
"Sinar Bestari acts as a platform for educators, especially of primary and secondary schools as well as higher learning institutions (IPT) to obtain a variety of information related to education, skills, and the latest career opportunities," she said.
She hoped that educators, students, and the public, especially those in Selangor, would not miss out on the chance to attend the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival.
