Heatwave up to 37 degrees Celsius to hit four states

SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a Level 1 (alert) in four states for three consecutive days starting on Wednesday.

MetMalaysia's statement on Facebook said as of 4.30pm the states involved were Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Sabah.

The areas include Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pendang and Padang Terap (kedah); Tanah Merah and Pasir Mas in Kelantan, Besut in Terengganu and Nabawan in Sabah.

The agency said the heatwaves could hit between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.
