SHAH ALAM - The Sinar Bestari Education Carnival in collaboration with the Selangor Education Department will feature a variety of interesting activities in a three-day carnival starting from May 10 to 12 at the Kompleks Kumpulan Media Karangkraf.
Sinar Karangkraf Head of Marketing and Branding Nik Justin Nik Mohd Ariffin said among the interesting activities were Canteen Day by a few selected schools, electronic sports (e-sports), exhibitions and shows from several government agencies.
He said the carnival will not only focus on academics but also emphasised on soft skills and technical skills.
"The focus of the programme this time is on digital education or edutainment which will give different experiences to visitors.
"More importantly, all players in the education industry as well as agencies under the Education Ministry will also participate by opening booths and joining activities held alongside visitors," he told Sinar on Tuesday.
Nik Justin added that several private companies like Tik Tok, which is the official media platform for the programme, Google and several tech organisations will also attend as exhibitors.
He said students could also highlight their talents through band competitions, choirs, Sinar Bestari Got Talent and more.
Thus, he hoped the public will come and experience this unique education carnival.
"Sinar Bestari's objective is focusing more on soft skills and technical skills is an interesting collaboration and I believe exposure outside the classroom is crucial to hone the students' interests besides formal education.
"We have received support from the Ministry to organise this carnival and we are targeting more than 5,000 visitors for each day," he said.
