KANGAR - The Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) is allocating RM505,000 for the management of 101 mosques in the state this year.
MAIPs, in a statement today, said that the Regent of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail handed over the financial aid to the respective mosques at the Qiam Ramadan programme held at the Al-Ghufran Mosque, Batu Dua Lama Jalan Kaki Bukit, here yesterday.
It said, the Regent, who is also MAIPs president, in his speech, expressed the need for the management of the mosques to ensure that all activities and programmes carried out are relevant and have an impact on the community.
