SHAH ALAM - Vehicles and passengers are expected to increase during the Eid festive season at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA 2.
KLIA district police chief Assistant Commissioner Imran Abd Rahman said due to this, strict enforcement of certain meaures will be implemented following the increase of vehicles and passengers returning home to their hometowns.
"Traffic authorities have been directed to increase enforcement against drivers found waiting long periods at the departure and arrival levels.
"This is to avoid traffic disruption and congestion on both locations," he told Sinar on Tuesday.
He said individuals are reminded to follow the traffic rules set.
"Avoid waiting too long in vehicles and users parking their cars are urged to use the parking areas," he said.
Imran said security will be increased throughout the duration.
"The security have been enhanced to ensure that the public's journey to return home to celebrate Eid will run smoothly," he said.
