KUALA LUMPUR - A loud thud led to the discovery of a seven-year old boy's body believed to have fallen from a higher floor at a condominium in Jalan Langkawi in Setapak, here, last night.
The incident at about 7pm drew the attention of the residents in the area.
It was understood that the Somali boy had just attended a Quran learning class at Block A of the condominium.
The victim’s mother panicked when she could not find her son when she went to pick him up from class.
She then found the child lying on the road unconscious near Block B of the condominium.
Both mother and son were believed to be Somali nationals and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) card holders since 2017.
Police found a sling bag with a Quran in it on the fourth floor near the stairs at Block B.
The Kuala Lumpur police chief will issue a press statement soon. - AWANI
