KUALA LUMPUR - Umno may hold a separate poll for the two divisions, namely Lahad Datu and Johor Bahru, says Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
This comes after a dispute over electoral irregularities at the two divisions, held earlier.
"There are votes that need to be recalculated.
"But as of now only two were mentioned,” he told the press at Umno headquarters, here tonight.
He added there were less than five per cent of complaints received through the voting process held on March 18.
Zahid, the Umno President further added that there were more than 160,000 members and "it was impossible that everyone will be satisfied."
"However, it will be all handled by the election committee,” he said.
A fight was reported to have broke out at the Lahad Datu Umno Division.
Meanwhile, the Johor Baru Umno Division election was suspended due to the allegations of more votes than the number of delegation present.
