SHAH ALAM - Police have seized over 100 bottles of liquid believed to be Ketum in two raids at Pandan Indah and Ampang on Thursday.
Ampang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak said around 5pm yesterday the Pandan Indah police station chief Assistant Superintendent Che Samsuddin Che Yusoff along with personnel in charge of Op Tapis Khas or Op Bersepadu arrested a man on his motorcycle around Pandan Indah.
He said 11 transparent bottles with a green lidshousing brown liquid suspected to be Ketum were seized totalling 8.25 litres.
He said after questioning they were led to a man in a home at Ampang and seized two bottles suspected of being Ketum,
"Further questions led to another house around Ampang and the police successfully seized 111 bottles suspected of being Ketum at a total of 83.25 litres.
"Investigations found both suspects arrested did not have prior records and their urine samples were negative for drugs.
"Both suspects ages 25 and 35 were remanded from March 17 to March 20,” he said in a statement on Friday.
He added the total value of the liquids seized were estimated at RM1,200.
