SHAH ALAM - Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice president Tian Chua confirms he has filed an official appeal for his dismissal.
The Star reported the former Batu MP said the appeal was made before the deadline set by PKR.
"Yes it has been some time since (I sent the appeal) according to the dates the party gave,” he said on Friday.
PKR Secretary General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail in a press conference on Thursday stated the party’s disciplinary board has yet to inform the central leadership regarding the decision on the appeal made by dismissed members.
In Jan 8, PKR Disciplinary Board director Datin Paduka Dr Tan Yee Kew when contacted by Sinar confirmed the party officially sacked Tian due to his actions in the 15th general election (GE15), where he contested as an independent candidate in Batu Parliament.
Tan explained Tian and four PKR members were sacked during the Central Leadership Council meeting.
The other four members were Puah Chee Haur from Parit Buntar PKR Branch, Ahmad Tarmizi Mohd Ghazali (Gopeng Branch), M Mohganan (Taiping Branch) and Nur Khairunisa Abdullah (Sadong Branch).
Tian became the Batu MP under PKR for two terms starting in 2008 to 2018.
