HULU SELANGOR - Actor Muhammad Hafidz Roshdi admits that he still loves his wife and wants to save their marriage.
He said he will try his best to reconcile with Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri, 29.
"I want to make amends and I hope there is still room for us to reconcile. I still love Nurul Shuhada," he told reporters after posting bail, today.
Earlier today, Hafidz, 29, was charged at the Kuala Kubu Baru magistrate's court with causing injuries to his wife in an incident near the Sungai Buaya Toll Plaza on March 2.
However, the Pusaka film star pleaded not guilty to the charge before Sessions judge Siti Fatimah Talib who sat as the magistrate.
The court allowed him RM4,000 bail and ordered him to undergo psychiatric treatment at Hospital Bahagia in Tanjung Rambutan, Perak.
The actor was previously embroiled in a controversy after he was alleged to have cheated on his wife. The issue then became more sensational when he was alleged to have hit his wife.
Commenting on the charge against him, Hafidz said it was a dark episode in his life.
"I accept my fate. Now my case is brought in court, and I leave it to the court to decide," he said.
The father of two also expressed how his missed his children Humairah, 6, and Umar, 2, after not seeing them for two weeks.
"To my children Humairah and Umar, I miss you and I love you both. I will never forget about you," he said while trying to hold back his tears.
