PUTRAJAYA - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is hunting for a man known as 'Datuk Roy', believed to be the main mastermind in the corruption case involving Jana Wibawa.
The man in his 50s had previously been accused in court and sentenced to prison for corruption.
On March 9, MACC arrested four individuals aged between 40 and 50, including a commission officer and a local woman, for allegedly soliciting and accepting bribes amounting to RM400,000 to avoid investigations into the case.
The woman was released on MACC bail, while the other three suspects were remanded until March 13.
MACC chief commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki, confirmed the matter when contacted today.
"MACC will not make any compromises if it is found that any MACC officers were involved in illegal activities," he said.
