SHAH ALAM - Datuk Seri Najib Razak's daughter Nooryana Najwa Najib has formally submitted forms to contest the Puteri Umno and Lembah Pantai Division Puteri chief posts.
The news was shared by Noryana on her Instagram page.
Earlier, she posted a reel (a short video on Instagram) and a picture.
In the video, Noryana is seen walking with her son to submit her application for the Puteri Umno seat at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
Following the heading that read "A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS," Nooryana wrote; "Alhamdulillah, I had already submitted the nomination form for Umno Puteri exco this morning.
"Adam (her son) was excited to accompany mummy as he always asked why his mummy is busy now.
"This was the first time Adam tagged along to WTCKL and requested to see Grandpa's and Tok Nyang's portraits," she said in the caption.
The former prime minister's daughter said a bright future and aspirations could only be achieved with stable leadership.
"I am confident that Puteri can be a platform for us to fight for women's issues, and I very much welcome all of your involvement so that we can together honour the wishes and talents of the youth," she said.
In another Instagram post later, she posed with Umno Lembah Pantai Division chief Datuk Ramlan Askolani while holding her nomination form for the division's Puteri chief seat.
She wrote, "Alhamdulillah, the nomination form for the Umno Lembah Pantai Division chief has been handed over to the division's Umno Office yesterday afternoon.
"Thank you to the Lembah Pantai Division chief, Tok Lan, and secretary, Abang Zul, for kindly accepting my nomination form," she added.
The mother-of-two then expressed her hope to be given a chance to fight for her father's beloved party.
"Here, I would like to invite fellow users on Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok to continue sharing brilliant opinions that are able to empower Umno and benefit young people in Lembah Pantai.
"You can PM (personal message) or comment below. We work as a team to bring positive change to our community," she added.
