KUALA LUMPUR - A total of 150 people participated in the Tabung Haji #QuranHour at Tabung Haji's headquarters on Wednesday.
Tabung Haji Domestic Divison general manager Mohd Norber Kassim said the programme in collaboration with Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) was held to fuel the spirit in preparation for the upcoming month of Ramadan.
He explained the programme also gave opportunity for Tabung Haji's (TH) staff to improve their knowledge about the Quran.
"Hopefully such programmes will raise awareness among TH staff about the importance of the holy book as guidance and core of life," he said.
The programme that was conducted by WUIF chief research officer Fazrul Ismail as tadabbur instructor and Ustaz Ahmad Tirmizi Ali as reciter had touched on the essence of surah al-Insan in the life of muslim.
Mohd Norber said it was important for all participants to understand the surah in order to understand life.
In the context of modern and challenging life right now, humans experienced an increasing aspire to strengthen one's soul and belief.
"We, as Muslim, will understand reality and the true meaning of happiness in Islam after understanding the precise meaning behind surah al-Insan," he said.
He added collaboration with WUIF could open up opportunities for many more self-improvement programmes.
"Insya-Allah, we can talk about organising more Islamic and dakwah (preaching) programmes after this," he said.
