"The campaign was launched on Feb 1 and it will end on May 7. To date, the campaign has raised about RM500,000.
"Through the campaign, we at Aman Palestin are trying our best to provide assistance such as iftar meals, Ramadan baskets (basic food supply) and Raya contribution to those in need in the three countries,” he said told a press conference at the official launch of the Ramadan Bersamamu campaign at the Aman Palestin office, here today.
Muhd Farhan, said the campaign was also launched to raise funds for the construction of the Syeikh Khalil Mosque at Bar Elias, Beqaa and Lebanon.
"The mosque will benefit 10,000 people, including 3,000 Syrian refugees around the area and its construction is expected to start in March,” he said.
Meanwhile, he said Aman Palestin had allocated initial aid of RM262,000 for those affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
