JOHOR BAHRU - Datuk Seri Najib Razak's daughter, Nooryana Najwa Najib will be contesting for Umno Puteri Exco seat for the party election this year.
Umno supreme council member Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi confirmed the news through a Facebook posting.
"Today, Yana Najib (Nooryana) visited me at my office at Rengit State Assemblyman Centre at Taman Rengit.
"She came with Dr Masliha Harun, candidate for Umno Puteri Chief. Yana will compete for Umno Puteri Exco. Good luck," he wrote.
Nooryana, the Umno Lembah Pantai also actively helped during the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign, including in Perlis, Perak, Kedah, Penang, Pahang and Johor.
Last month it was reported that the former Prime Minister’s son, Datuk Nazifuddin also had volunteered to run for the Umno Youth deputy chief seat in the upcoming party election.
Nazifuddin, the Umno Langkawi Division said he wanted to help the wing to attract youth in order to strengthen the party’s struggle together.
