Genting Crash: One of the victims declared dead still alive, police confirms

SHAH ALAM - Police has confirmed that one of the victims pronounced dead previously, is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).

Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf has announced this following Traffic Department's checks with the families at the hospital.

"However, one of the victims Wong Ah Moi or Wong Seh Moi, 83 who passed away, held on to 61-year-old Goh Siew Kim’s identification card, hence the confusion.

"Goh is currently being treated at HKL while seven other survivors are at HKL and Hospital Temerloh,” he said in a statement, today.

He further advised public to not make any speculations as the crash is still under investigation.

It was reported the accident which occured at KM4.8 Jalan Genting Highlands near Bentong, Pahang yesterday had six lives including the driver.

From initial investigations, the van which carrying 13 passengers was on the way to Penang from Genting Highlands before it lost control and hit the divider.
