JOHOR BAHRU - Johor Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) said the party's account is not frozen as of now.

Bersatu Johor Governing Body (BPN) chairman Datuk Dr Shahruddin Jamad said Bersatu Johor's bank account has not been frozen or disrupted.

"There is no problem at the moment," he said briefly via WhatsApp on Wednesday.

Earlier today, Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed Bersatu's account was frozen.

He said the party's account was frozen over two weeks ago to assist in an investigation under the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act.
