KUALA LUMPUR - Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad once again criticise Datuk Seri Najib Razak who he claims is destroying the Malays' moral values.
Dr Mahathir said Najib convinced the Malays to not feel ashamed since their 'Boss' stole money.
"As Najib said 'Nak malu apa, Bossku' (why are you embarrassed, bossku) as he stole the government's money, therefore, his loyal followers do not feel embarrassed when they stole or received the stolen money from Najib.
"Najib taught the Malays to ask for free money.
"The Malays were open to bribery during the general election (GE) because it is money obtained not from hard work.
"The free RM100 was better than the monthly wage of RM2,000 because the wage requires one to work when the RM100 came without a sweat.
"The Malay voters responded with 'no money then no vote' during the 15th General Election (GE15), making parties who didn't hand out any cash lose.
"The winner in GE15 who had bribed the voters is also a thief. The winner that formed the government is thieves.
"When thieves form the government then money will be stolen," he said in a statement on Friday.
Commenting further, Dr Mahathir said in the past, the Malays would have felt ashamed if they were caught stealing but now the exact opposite happened.
"What is there to be ashamed of when even the 'Boss' is unabashed when he stole billions, what more if the amount is small.
"This is Najib's Malay. The Malaysian government will keep on be made up of thieves. Those without money, incapable of bribing, will lose.
"It is true that Malaysia is a country with kleptocracy. A country of thieves," he claimed. - AWANI
