SHAH ALAM - Passengers of Batik Air flight OD 7006 were pleasantly surprised as they were greeted by a pre-departure announcement by none other than the Transport Minister himself, Anthony Loke.
Loke had stepped into the flight that was departing from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and made the announcement, praying for the passengers safety heading back to their hometowns for the Chinese New Year festive season.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your transport minister speaking. This is flight OD 7006 heading to Kota Kinabalu.
"While we are preparing for takeoff, please ensure all your seatbelts are fastened, pull your seats into the upright position. Please remember to turn off all your electronic devices.
"Please stay seated, rest and have a safe trip home to Kota Kinabalu. Happy Chinese New Year," Loke said to enthusiastic applause from the passengers.
