KUALA LUMPUR - The Umno supreme council meeting held tonight only discussed housekeeping matters within the party.
The meeting which went on about an hour ended at about 10pm tonight.
Umno leaders who were met by the media after the meeting were mostly tight-lipped about any issues discussed during the meeting.
Umno president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi said the meeting mainly touched on reports by the parties Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings besides preparations for the state elections.
"We just discussed usual party matters.” he told reporters.
When asked if the meeting touched on the 10 MPs he named in a presidential briefing earlier, Zahid declined to comment.
Zahid is set to deliver his much awaited policy speech tomorrow morning to more than 3000 delegates.
Many are waiting to see if his speech will touch on whether the top two posts in the party will be contested and what are the plans for the party polls scheduled to happen in May.
Meanwhile Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said It was just a meeting to discuss the future of the party.
"No issues on Sabah or Sarawak were discussed, just usual party matters,” he said.
Bung added there was also no discussions on whether the top two posts should remain uncontested.
