KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Radin stands firm with his decision that the current Sabah government has collapsed.
Although Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor claimed that he has the support of 44 assemblymen, Bung said the political 'game' is still ongoing.
"Of course, Hajiji has got the support of 44 assemblymen, he took my people, he 'corrupted' everyone. But that's okay, 'the ball is still rolling'.
"We wait for the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) to come tomorrow to meet Warisan and GRS parties' members, then we'll talk about it.
"The decision is tomorrow night, the prime minister will arrive at around 8pm tomorrow from Jakarta while Umno president (Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) will arrive at 7pm," he said when met by reporters at Kota Kinabalu Airport (KKIA) on Sunday.
He said this when asked about Hajiji's claim that he had received 44 statutory declarations (SD) from Sabah assemblymen consisting of GRS, Sabah PH and Sabah BN.
Asked about his position as Sabah Deputy Chief Minister, Bung was not sure as he still thinks that the government no longer existed.
"I'm not sure, what I know is that the government is no longer here. This government was established together when we withdrew, not stopped, which means the Chief Minister is not there either," he said.
In this regard, Bung once again emphasised that the political turmoil in Sabah is not yet over.
"Game is still 'on'," he said.
Previously, Bung Moktar who is also Sabah BN chairman last Friday, announced that Sabah Umno and BN withdrew their support for Hajiji as Sabah Chief Minister.
The announcement consequently caused a political turmoil in the state.
