KEPALA BATAS - The Bertam Souk Water Theme Park which was previously ordered to shut down by the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) is now allowed to re-open.
In a statement issued by MBSP today, the Bertam Souk and Water Park license application has been approved.
"The Premises License and Entertainment License for the theme park was approved on January 6 which is the same date they received the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) approval for the theme park.
"MBSP hopes that with the reopening of the theme park, it can benefit visitors and become a new tourist attraction in the Seberang Perai area," he said.
Previously, Sinar Harian reported that MBSP had ordered the Bertam Souk Water Theme Park & Water Park to be closed on December 28 for operating without a license.
MBSP had informed that the theme park which had just opened on December 15 had been issued a notice for the management to stop all operation and entertainment activities of the water theme park under the Entertainment and Places of Entertainment Enactment 1998.
