SHAH ALAM - Pas has called on the government to temporarily suspend the entry of all travellers from China due to the increase of Covid-19 cases in the country.
Its information chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin in a statement, said the government should thoroughly monitor Covid-19 cases in countries which have been accepting Chinese travellers.
"Pas suggests that the government should be aware of the spread of new Covid-19 cases in the country.
"Malaysia must learn how Covid-19 spread in 2020, when there were no early safety measures in place to stop the arrival of potentially affected foreign nationals," he said.
He urged Malaysians to adhere to the standard operating procedure (SOP) by donning a mask to protect themselves from the Covid-19.
The Health Ministry yesterday said all travellers arriving in Malaysia will have to undergo temperatire checks for fever.
Dr Zaliha Mustafa also announced that those with history of travelling to China within 14 days of their arrival will be required to undergo an RTK-Antigen test.
