BATANG KALI - A total of 18 bags of food were donated to the tracker dog units (K9) of the search and rescue (SAR) operation team at the Batang Kali landslide tragedy in Jalan Genting, here, today.
The donation was handed over to the K9 unit attached to the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) at 12.30pm.
Six bags of food were donated by the Pahang State Veterinary Services Department, while eight packs were donated by individuals and two more bags were from Hills Pets Corner Sdn Bhd.
The handover was carried out by Selangor Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) Policy Management/Resources Officer Superintendent Zaidah Ekhwan.
The representative from ATM who received the donation was Sergeant Saini Anak Lidi from War Dog Branch, Army Combat Training Centre (Pulada).
For JBPM, it was represented by Donny Chap from K9 Unit while the police’s representative was Assistant Superintendent Afzainizam Che Rasid.
Also present was Pahang State Assistant Veterinary Officer Syaril Rizal.
