HULU SELANGOR – The 25th victim's body was discovered buried under five metres of deep soil at a campsite near Father's Organic Farm, Jalan Genting, here.

Hulu Selangor District Police Chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said the victim was identified as a girl aged between six to 10-years-old.

"The victim was found at 11.15pm on Tuesday and was buried at a depth of five meters.

"The victim was clad in pink clothing when she was recovered," he said in a press conference at the location today (Wednesday).

He said a clothes bag and a laptop were also found near the victim, however, there was no personal identification found.

Suffian said the victim was brought to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.

After the recovery of the 25th victim, Suffian was hopeful that the rescue team would recover the eight victims who were still missing.

"The little girl's recovery definitely gave us hope and encouraged the search and rescue (SAR) team to find the remaining missing victims."

"We also ran the sweeper method outside the areas of the incident to track if there were victims there," he said.

Suffian said the sixth day of the operations continued with 100 people led by the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), excavators, and the Tracker Dog Unit (K9).

Among the main agencies involved in the search were the army, the police, the Civil Defense Force (APM), the Survey and Mapping Department (Jupem), and the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma).
