PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to go to Kelantan tomorrow (Wednesday) to monitor the flood situation in the state.
Anwar said on Twitter that the government will expedite aid to the flood victims especially on the east coast states through the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma).
"Insya-Allah tomorrow, I will head to the east coast to monitor the flood situation there," he said.
The flood situation in Kelantan worsened as the state recorded an increase of 1,160 victims as of Tuesday with a total of 26,513 people.
Kelantan Police Chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said all victims involving 7,379 families were placed in 133 temporary evacuation centres (PPS).
