SHAH ALAM - Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) offers its deepest condolences to the surviving family members of the three siblings who died of electrocution in their flooded home at a village in Tumpat, Kelantan, today.
"TNB would like to express its sincerest condolences to the family members.
"We are also in the midst of investigating the accident and is working closely with the authorities namely the Energy Commission and the police," said TNB in a statement issued today.
The national electric company also implored the public to stop spreading pictures or videos and speculations of the incident so as to not impede with ongoing investigations and respect the feelings of family members.
"TNB would also like to reiterate that the public should not go near or touch any inundated electrical infrastructure due to possible current leakage.
"The company will ensure that the safety of the public be prioritised, and will temporarily cut off electrical supply to flooded areas over safety concerns," read the statement.
It also mentioned that the cut off electric will be resupplied as soon as possible once it is safe to do so.
