SHAH ALAM - Karangkraf Media Group Division chief executive officer, Farah Hussamuddin reveals the existence of a Telegram account that fraudulently used her picture to offer fake job openings.
She denied that the account under the name of Putih Eli belonged to her, believing that a certain party tried to scam the public by asking victims their bank account number.
"Someone used my photos on social media, it's not me. I will file a police report," said Farah when contacted by Sinar Harian on Sunday.
Previously, a screenshot of a Telegram account believed to be a work fraud syndicate which used her picture had gone viral after it was revealed on Facebook by a user named Yuri Azhar Mazian on Friday.
Yuri Azhar explained that at first he was contacted by two women via WhatsApp offering him a job at a company before being asked to furnish his bank account number.
He however did not do so after suspecting that something was wrong with the individual.
"Supposedly offering me a job, just follow their instructions. Follow individuals and companies on Instagram and Telegram. I became suspicious when Putih Eli asked for my bank account number.
"I suspect the one handling the account is a scammer. Be careful when contacted by these two women, maybe the profile pictures used are not theirs," he said.
