KUALA LUMPUR - The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) denied giving any approval or permit to hold a solidarity rally seeking targeted withdrawals from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
According to a statement issued by PDRM today, the rally organised by Pertubuhan Gagasan Inovasi Rakyat Malaysia (PGIR) will be held at 7.30 am this Monday at the entrance to Parliament.
"The poster was uploaded by on a Facebook account and went viral on social media," the statement read.
PDRM said it had not received any application to hold such a gathering as provided under Section 9 (1) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 and advised the public not to get involved in any gathering that does not comply with the provisions of the law.
