SHAH ALAM - Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) leader Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin has reportedly joined Muafakat Nasional (MN).
The matter was revealed by MN President Tan Sri Annuar Musa through a post on his official Facebook account on Wednesday.
At the same time, he said that the former Plantation Industry and Commodities Minister also held a meeting in his office.
"Thank you Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin for coming to my office and thank you for joining MN," he said in a post on Facebook on Wednesday.
On Saturday, the application to join MN was made public.
MN was a collaboration party between Umno and Pas, which was formed in 2019, a year after Pakatan Harapan (PH) succeeded in forming the government in the 14th General Election (GE14).
On Nov 25, the former Umno secretary-general decided to reactivate MN, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) founded by him.
On Friday, Umno confirmed that Annuar was fired and dropped from the party automatically under clause 20.11 and clause 20.9 of the Umno constitution.
