SHAH ALAM - A total of 104 individuals will be conferred awards and medals in conjunction with the 77th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah tomorrow (Dec 11).
Selangor State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim, in a statement today, said 24 of them will receive awards that come with titles, including two who will be conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (S.P.M.S.) that comes with the title 'Datuk Seri' for men and ‘Datin Paduka Seri’ for women.
He said one recipient will be conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk Setia - Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.S.I.S.) that carries the title 'Datuk Setia' and 10 individuals will be conferred the Darjah Kebesaran - Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.) that comes with the "Datuk” title.
"Eleven others will receive the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk - Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S.), which also comes with the title ‘Datuk’ for men and 'Datin Paduka' for women," he said, adding that all the candidates for the state awards and medals had passed the screening by the Royal Malaysia Police, the Malaysian Insolvency Department and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). - BERNAMA
