PUTRAJAYA - A coalition agreement involving the parties in the unity government will be signed soon.
Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir said by signing of the agreement, it would increase the people’s confidence in the governement.
"We have held a series of discussions and we are now in the final draft stage of the agreement,” he said.
He said this during a press conference on his first day of work as Foreign Minister at Wisma Putra, here on Monday.
Earlier, Zambry was asked about how the party that formed the unity government would fulfil their manifesto.
He however declined to disclose the contents of the agreement.
Among the parties that form the unity government were BN, Pakatan Harapan (PH), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
"The public will be informed later when we have signed it (the agreement)," said the former Perak Menteri Besar.
Asked about policy, the Foreign Minister said he could not present it in depth as it required clarification and scrutiny from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
