SHAH ALAM - Muda President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman says he had a two-hour chat with former premier Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to catch up on life after the elections.
In a Facebook post, he shared a picture of himself with Muhyiddin, and expressed support for bipartisanship and his respect for the former prime minister despite being in different parties and coalitions.
He also revealed that Muhyiddin voted in his constituency in Muar, Johor in the recent election.
"The elections are over, now it is time for us to focus on serving the people,” he said.
He said that he is a firm believer in bipartisanship and that for Malaysia to succeed, there must be courage to serve the people without political borders.
"We need a strong and stable government with an effective opposition to turbocharge Malaysia forward,” he said.
Muhyiddin, the Pagoh MP was the 8th prime minister and was recently Perikatan Nasional’s candidate for prime minister.
Syed Saddiq was also previously part of Muhyiddin's Bersatu and backed Pakatan Harapan in the recent elections.
