KOTA KINABALU - Two new faces from Sabah are featured in the new cabinet line up of the unity government led by the Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, in an announcement on Friday.
Datuk Ewon Benedick of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) were respectively appointed as Entrepreneur Development and Co-operatives Minister and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah and Sarawak).
Ewon is the Member of Parliament for Penampang and also the Vice President of the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) he was also the Sabah Minister for rural development during the administration of the Warisan Plus government.
Meanwhile, Armizan, who is also the Member of Parliament for Papar, is the Senior Private Secretary to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Both Ewon and Armizan were new faces who won the 15th General Election (GE15) Ewon defeated the incumbent of the Penampang Parliamentary seat , Datuk Darell Leiking and Armizan defeated the incumbent of the Papar Parliamentary seat, Ahmad Hassan.
