LAHAD DATU - The search and rescue (SAR) operations for the missing child from a crocodile attack enters its second day in the waters off the Lahad Datu Marine operations base, here, on Friday.
The boy, whose identity was still unknown was believed to be three-years old and he was with his 45-year-old father known only as Morehat when the attack took place.
Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Department Chief Sumsoa Rashid said the operation had begun at 7am at the coastal location of the area.
"The SAR operation for the missing child due to a crocodile attack entered its second day involving a total of five personnel from the fire house.
"The operation is carried out using the method of searching on the water surface of the coastal area," he said when contacted by Sinar on Friday.
Sumsoa said as of now, there were no signs of the child and the operations were still ongoing.
On Thursday, it was reported that the victim went missing while his father sustained multiple injuries on his head and body during the crocodile attack while they had paddled around the waters at the location.
The father was subsequently saved by the public
