SHAH ALAM - Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman urges the people to have faith in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in forming the new government.
The Muar MP said the process of the formation of a unity government was not an easy task.
"For me, I give the flexibility because this is the prerogative of the Prime Minister and as the president of the party as well,” he said sharing his views and expectations on the soon-to-be cabinet line-up under Anwar’s administration.
The former youth and sports minister who held the post in 2018 said he will serve the country even though he did not hold a post of a minister.
He said said he will carry out his obligations in serving the people.
"With or without any ministerial portfolio, it will still be an absolute honour to serve the people of Muar and fellow Malaysians,” he said.
Syed Saddiq said in 2020, he was offered the post of a minister as well as chairman of a government-linked company (GLC).
He said he however turned down the offers as it was a matter of principle.
Anwar was sworn in as the 10th Prime Minister on Nov 25 after a five-day political impasse following inconclusive polls in the 15th General Election (GE15) on Nov 19.
