KUALA LUMPUR - Pakatan Harapan (PH) mobilisation bureau has called on Putrajaya to set up Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to probe the usage of RM500 billion in contracts during Covid-19 under former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Its committee member Mohd Sany Hamzan said the flow of large funds needed to be clarified and audited.

"We do not know where the RM500 billion went during Muhyiddin's tenure. We urge an RCI to be set up to probe the money flow," he said.

He told reporters after lodging a report over the funds at the Dang Wangi police headquarters, here, today. He said he would also lodge a report with Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

So far, Muhyiddin, the PN chairman had vowed that not even one sen of the more than RM500 billion in stimulus and aid measures his government spent during the Covid-19 pandemic was misused.

Sany also lodge reports on Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang's Facebook post for allegedly disobeying the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and an audio recording similar to the voice of Datuk Dr Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh stating the government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would not last long.

Two more reports were made against Baling MP Hassan Saad for allegedly calling Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim Anwar an agent of Israel.

Reports were also lodged against Padang Serai Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Datuk Azman Nasarudin for claiming the recently formed government was "kerajaan zina” (government of adultery).
