SHAH ALAM - Toll charges at Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Highway (DASH) will commence at 12.01am on Thursday, after more than a month of payment exemption.
Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas) said in a statement that the government had previously announced that the 20.1-kilometre highway would be open to users for free for 48 days from Oct 14 until Nov 30, 2022.
Hence, the same fee as before will be charged to users through the three highway toll plazas namely Denai Alam Toll Plaza, RRIM Toll Plaza (Kwasa Damansara) and Kota Damansara Toll Plaza after the exemption period has expired.
The toll fee for the first vehicle class i.e. cars is charged RM2.30, lorries i.e. second class (RM4.60), trailers i.e. third class (RM6.90), fourth class taxi (RM1.20) and bus i.e. fifth class charged RM2.30.
"The DASH Highway Operations Division will constantly monitor the smoothness of the toll collection system at all three toll plazas as well as placing officers in the toll plaza lanes of both directions of the highway especially during peak hours to assist users who are facing difficulties.
"Consumers are also advised to comply with the road safety regulations and directional signs provided when passing through the toll plaza to ensure a smooth journey to the destination," the statement read on Wednesday.
On Oct 13, former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that DASH Highway users can enjoy toll-free travel from midnight Oct 14 to Nov 30.
