PUTRAJAYA - The Prime Minister's Department has denied a viral poster featuring a congratulatory message to Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who is said to have been appointed as deputy prime minister and home affairs minister.
In a Facebook posting today, it said: "information on the poster is false" and advised public not to share it.
Last Friday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the post of deputy prime minister was expected to be given to the strongest bloc in the unity government, namely BN and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
Meanwhile, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Mohd Razlan Rafii reportedly had said Zahid should assume the post of deputy prime minister based on the party hierarchy.
