KUALA SELANGOR - Bukit Malawati has been temporarily closed following a landslide at its mountain trail today.
The incident happened at 10am and caused trees to fall, blocking the pathway.
"There were no casualties reported to have occurred in the rubble area," said Selangor Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Director Norazam Khamis in a statement today.
"Thirty-two personnel and officers from the Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the scene of the incident after receiving the emergency call at 10.20am," read the statement.
Norazam added that the landslide area did not involved the main road with the Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) members were already deployed to remove the fallen trees.
"Further monitoring will also be done around the tourist area," he said.
