KOTA KINABALU - Parti Warisan (Warisan) has officially confirmed its support for a Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to form the government as it would secure a sufficient number of seats to form the government and bring an end to the hung parliament that followed the 15th general elections last Saturday.
Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said Warisan will provide full support to PH and BN because they had the number of seats to form the government and the majority of the people had voted for PH and BN as reflected in the popular vote.
"Therefore, PH and BN should be given the first choice to form the government. This support is also for the new government to fully resolve the 21 demands under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63)," Shafie said in a statement on Tuesday.
Shafie added that Warisan hoped that PH together with BN will be able to collaborate to enable the formation of the federal government, which would lead to political stability and unity for the country.
