KUALA KANGSAR - Barisan Nasional (BN) Perak has not expressed any stance on the call for Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to resign as chairman.
State BN Chairman Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said this was not the right time to discuss the political situation.
"There is no discussion of that, not the right time to make a decision," he told reporters here today.
Several Umno leaders had previously urged Zahid, who is also Umno President, to step down honourably following the party's poor performance in the 15th General Election (GE15).
The same insistence was made by the component party leaders in BN.
The results of GE15 saw BN perform the worst when it gained only 30 parliamentary seats.
It is much worse than GE14 when the 2018 election saw the coalition win 54 parliamentary seats.
