KUALA LUMPUR - Further meetings between coalitions will be held, says Umno secretary-general.
Datuk Ahmad Maslan said Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and 30 of the party's MPs will discuss on several decisions to be made for the party.
He said this when met at the Seri Pacific Hotel, here, today.
Ahmad said Zahid held the rights to decide on what was best for the party.
"He (Zahid) has full rights to take further action in the party and determine what is best for the party," he said.
It was expected that today, the cooperation between BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) will be finalised.
This was after both leaders of the coalitions were said to be having a meeting at the hotel at 10am.
Also present were Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and BN Sabah chief Datuk Bung Moktar Radin
Yesterday, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) president Abang Johari said that the party will join hands with Perikatan Nasional (PN), BN and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to form the next federal government.
GPS also confirmed that PN chaiman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was its Prime Minister candidate.
Meawnhile, BN denied claims that it had a discussion with GPS in which both had agreed to form the government with PN.
The 15th General Election (GE15) held on Saturday ended in a hung parliament with no party securing a clear majority to form the new federal government.
