IPOH - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is unoffcially leading the race for the Tambun parliamentary seat.
Anwar is surpassing his opponet Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu from Perikatan Nasional (PN) with over 570 votes.
In a close race, the PH candidate had obtained 8,790 votes while the PN Deputy Chairman had obtained 8,220 votes after 57 channels were counted at the Official Tambun Parliamentary Vote Tallying Center at the Sultan Azlan Shah Ministry of Health Training Institute, Tanjung Rambutan, here.
Meanwhile, BN candidate Datuk Aminuddin Md Hanafiah had gained 4,858 votes and Pejuang candidate Abdul Rahim Tahir gained 171 votes.
