KUALA LUMPUR - If you’re a Malaysian, you should step out and cast your vote, says a 68 year-old-woman.
Speaking to some of the voters here, Zaleha Abdul Majid who hails from Sentul was amazed at the high turnout of voters at Sekolah Kebangsaan Convent Sentul.
"I’ve been voting for the past 15 years and this is the largest turnout of voters I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
"I can see more young voters today, I’m very proud to see their spirit to vote,” she said.
When asked about her intention to vote despite her age, Zaleha stressed that when it comes to our country, it's our basic responsibility to cast the votes.
"This might be my last time voting as I am already old, but voting is my duty as long I’m healthy and alive,” she said.
Batu candidates Tian Chu and Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharuddin commonly known as Cleopatra were also seen here at the polling station today.
Sinar Daily also visited two other polling stations in Batu parliament which are Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu 4 Jalan Ipoh and Chong Hwa Independent High School.
