PUTRAJAYA - Voters think there should be better procedures for Covid-19 voters who come out to vote for the 15th General Election (GE15) today.

As of now, voters who contracted Covid-19 only needed to report themselves to the Health Ministry officers stationed at the polling centre but they would still use the same channel as other voters who were Covid-negative.

Aznor Aziz, 60, said the voting procedures for Covid-19 patients could be quite risky as there was no social distancing or any reminder from the authorities.

"So the possibility for Covid to spread is high since there's no emphasis on Covid-19 standard operating procedures," Aznor said during the polling day here at Sekolah Kebangsaan Putrajaya Presint 9(1).

He also said there must be an approach or mechanism to ease the process for voters and not put everyone at risk.

Aisyah Azhan, 24 said that it was worrying as the facilities used were also used by many other people.

"The chairs that we used is filled by many other people so I am bit worried but since we go in one by one, maybe we'll be fine.

Aisyah also said that it is a bit dangerous for elderlies and People with Disabilities (PwD) even though they wear face masks and sanitiser but there were still a lot of indirect contacts through the processes.

Meanwhile, Ainaa Humairah, 18, thinks there should be another voting channel for Covid-19 patients.

"But even right now we can get Covid anywhere so I don't really mind," she said.
