SHAH ALAM - A total of 896 flood victims are still affected in Selangor and they are placed at 20 temporary evacuation centres (PPS) as of 10.25am on Friday.
In an update on the Disaster Info website of the Social Welfare Department (JKM), the victims comrpised 249 men and 299 women, 61 senior citizens, 322 children, five persons with disabilities (PWD) and 24 babies.
All victims at the Dewan Masjid An-Naim PPS in Kampung Jalan Kebun and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Dengkil had returned to their homes.
The PPS that were still active were SMK Jeram (116), Dewan Sri Nakhoda (20), Dewan Simpang (six), Dewan Masjid Kampung Johan Setia (169), Balai MPKK Kampung Jalan Kebun (22), Section 10, Putra Heights MBSJ Camelia Multipurpose Hall (62) and Putra Heights mosque (53).
Other locations were at the Taman Gemilang Community Hall (69), Dengkil Community Hall (63), Bangi Lama Community Hall (23) and Sekolah Rendah Agama Kampung Dato' Ahmad Razali (127) and the Kampung Batu 9 Community Hall Kebun Baru, Jalan Merak (21).
Other than that were Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bandar Baru (62) Bangi Permai Unity Kindergarten (4), Dewan Sungai Panjang Hala Cara Baru (13), Sawah Sempadan Blok AGH Community Hall (eight), SK Kampung Baharu Lanjut (35) as well as Bukit Changgang Community Hall (23).
In total, there were 3,569 flood victims placed in 56 PPS involving 1,032 families affected in eight states which were Selangor, Sarawak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Kelantan and Perak.
