KLUANG - Barisan Nasional treasurer-general Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has advised young people to vote wisely in the 15th general election on Nov 19.
Hishammuddin also reminded them not to be easily influenced by inaccurate campaign information spread through social media such as TikTok because it could interfere with their judgment in making decisions.
"Young voters need to make wise decision and not rely on sentiments on social media, especially the inaccurate news on apps like TikTok," he told reporters after a meet-and-greet programme at Kampung Melayu Batu 4, here today.
In another development, Hishammuddin, who is Senior Defence Minister, denied Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's claim that the Malaysian Armed Forces was struggling with chronic financial problems resulting in insufficient ammunition to conduct live fire training.
He said the government was always committed to meeting the needs and demands of the security force. - BERNAMA
