SHAH ALAM - Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM) organised ‘Tampung Tambang Bas PRU-15’ programme with the mission of providing eleven last-minute buses focusing on students and youths with low-cost income at the fee of RM10.
The routes provided would be from Kuala Lumpur to nine states in peninsular Malaysia for voters who wanted to go back to their hometowns to cast their votes in the 15th General Election (GE15) this Saturday.
ABIM secretary-general Mohammad Fazril Mohd Saleh said the initiative aims to provide eleven buses from KL Sentral this upcoming Friday at 9pm.
"The total cost for this initiative is RM 42,000 but now we only have RM 10,000, and we are still collecting funds from all Malaysians," he said during the event Deklarasi PRU 15: Membina Karakter Bangsa at Kompleks Karangkraf, today.
He said, with the tagline of ‘Rakyat Bantu Rakyat’, Malaysians who wished to participate and donate could register through myundi.info, which would be announced soon
."For now, we are also planning to have bus ride from all routes back to KL Sentral on Monday, Nov 21 at 9 am.
"For those who want to use this initiative, participants need to pay only RM 10 for a round trip and this will include GE15 reading material.
"If the participants receive more than we expected, we are going to try to add more buses to make sure people will fulfill their civic duty and determine the direction of our political parties and nation,” he said.
The routes that would be provided would be:
Perlis - Changlun, Kangar, Kuala Perlis,
Kedah - Sungai Petani, Alor Setar
Pulau Pinang – Butterworth, Sg. Nibong
Perak – Taiping, Bagan Serai, Parit Buntar, Amanjaya, Chemor, Sg. Siput, Kuala Kangsar, Bidor, Tapah, Kampar, Gopeng
Negeri Sembilan - Seremban
Melaka - Alor Gajah, Melaka Sentral
Pahang - Gambang - Kuantan - Pekan
Kelantan - Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Machang, Ketereh, Kota Bharu
Johor – Kulai, Skudai, Larkin, Muar, Batu Pahat, Ayer Hitam.
