SHAH ALAM - Sungai Buloh parliament candidate Khairy Jamaluddin says he has no choice but to contest in the constituency as the party’s leadership didn’t give him any terms to go anywhere.
"The reality is I had no other choice since the party’s leadership didn’t give me any terms to go anywhere and I was left just like that.
"I knew I needed to do something for myself.
"I decided to meet Tanjong Karang MP Tan Sri Noh Omar and Tan Sri Dr SA Vigneswaran as there were only few seats left, I said okay I will contest in Sungai Buloh,” he said.
Khairy, the former Rembau MP said this during his visit at the SME Aerospace in Sungai Buloh.
He further said he was not turn his back from the Barisan Nasional President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
"I needed to do something for myself after discussing with Noh Omar, he asked me to come to Selangor and meet MIC President to swap.
"To say that I requested, yes I said okay Sungai Buloh but I need to put more effort because there was no seat,” he said.
Despite the situation, Khairy came he did not want to pick a quarrel with Zahid and came to Sungai Buloh parliament representing BN, adding that he will try to win the constituency.
